What challenge did the company face?

PFS Legal needed to modernize its legacy infrastructure, improve security, and gain technological autonomy following its spin-off from the business group.
Cloud migration
PFS Legal operated with a legacy infrastructure hosted by a third-party provider, which limited its growth and operational visibility. Key challenges included:

Lack of direct control over their technological systems and resources.

High dependence on multiple servers for access to critical applications such as Kmaleon, its main legal platform.

Lack of managed services, which increased operational burden and the risk of errors.

Difficulties scaling your environment quickly to meet new needs.

Need to maintain secure connectivity with other corporate environments such as Azure AD and Colt.

The company needed to modernize its infrastructure to successfully face its new phase as an independent entity, with a focus on efficiency, security, and scalability.

Solution implemented

Apser offered you an initial assessment that would allow us to analyze the current status of your AWS account and, subsequently, our Sherpa support service to be able to implement the potential improvements detected during the assessment.

apser Designed and implemented a comprehensive solution based on the AWS cloud, combining automation, managed services, and a complete redesign of the technological environment:

  • Phased migration with AWS MGNA planned transition was carried out using the AWS Application Migration Service, with no disruption to key services.

  • Optimized storage with Amazon FSx: Implementation of a managed file service with backup policies and high availability.

  • Virtual Private Network (VPC) and Advanced Security: Deployment of a network architecture with segmented access, bastion host, and granular traffic control.

  • Integration with external services: Connectivity to your corporate domain in Azure and other mission-critical environments via secure VPNs.

  • Proactive monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch: : Set up alerts and monitor 24/7 to ensure service continuity.

This architecture was designed to grow with the business, allowing for the incorporation of solutions such as Amazon Workspaces o AppStream for a more flexible digital experience.
